If you ever needed proof you musicians don’t need to be a middle aged pompous fecks (Bono, Madonna, Geldof etc) to show they care about serious issues, then surely this is it.

‘Dark Was the Night’ will be released on February 17th, 2009. Comprised of 31 exclusive tracks; it will be available as a double CD/triple vinyl/download and will benefit the Red Hot Organization – an international charity dedicated to raising money and awareness for HIV and AIDS through popular culture.

Red Hot was founded on the premise that even without a cure; AIDS remains a preventable disease – using music as a great vehicle to raise both money and awareness for it. This is also the twentieth year of Red Hot as well as their twentieth compilation.
